About Dubai
Dubai rearranges itself every few years, and somehow the old city keeps its place in it. Wooden abras still cross the creek for a single dirham while the tallest building on earth lays its shadow across a mall the size of a town. Drive an hour inland and the tarmac simply stops, the dunes take over, and by nightfall the desert is quiet enough to hear. Come between November and March, when the heat lifts and the whole city moves outdoors.
