  1. Day 1

    Arrive to Downtown

    Private transfer in, a room facing the Burj if the hotel can manage it, and a quiet dinner at Al Seef by the water.

  2. Day 2

    The city, but slowly

    Museum of the Future, then a long lunch at Jumeirah. Sunset at level 148 with a table rather than a queue, and the fountain show from the boardwalk after.

  3. Day 3

    Balloon, then the water

    Collected at four for a sunrise balloon over the Margham dunes, back for a late breakfast, and the evening on a chartered dhow with dinner served on deck.

  4. Day 4

    North to the coast

    An hour and a half up the coast road to Ras Al Khaimah, and the rest of the day doing nothing at all. Al Hamra's beach faces west, so the sunsets do the work.

  5. Day 5

    Jebel Jais

    Up the mountain road to the viewing deck at 1,250 m for lunch above the cloud line, and back down for a spa evening at the resort.

  6. Day 6

    A day with no plan in it

    Kept deliberately empty. Kayaks and paddleboards are on the beach, the pearl farm at Al Suwaidi takes half a morning, and a private dinner can be set up on the sand.

    Fly home

    Transfer to Dubai International, roughly ninety minutes, timed with room to spare.
