Privacy policy

We ask for as little as a trip needs, keep it no longer than we must, and never sell it. This page says exactly what that means in practice.

Who this policy is from

JourneyMaker Travel Studio plans and books trips from Level 4, Sea Breeze House, Worli, Mumbai 400018, India. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

If you want anything on this page explained, or want your data removed, write to support@journeymaker.co.in or call +91 88799 19545.

This website collects nothing by itself

Worth stating plainly, because most privacy policies imply the opposite. These pages are static files. There is no account system, no database behind them and no server that receives form submissions.

The enquiry form and the newsletter box assemble a message in your browser and then hand it to your own WhatsApp or email client. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press send in that app, and if you close the tab instead, nothing leaves your device.

Cookies and tracking

We set no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no third-party script profiling you as you read. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

Pages load photographs and fonts from the same domain as the site itself, so browsing does not expose you to third-party requests.

What we hold once you contact us

From the moment you send an enquiry, we hold whatever you chose to tell us — in our email inbox, our WhatsApp account and, if the trip goes ahead, our booking records. Typically:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The trip you are asking about: destination, rough dates, how many are travelling and anything you have told us about how you like to travel.
  • For confirmed bookings only: passport details, dates of birth, and any dietary, medical or accessibility needs you ask us to pass on.
  • Correspondence with you, and the quotes and invoices attached to your booking.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry and price a trip — we cannot quote a flight without knowing who is flying. To make the booking with airlines, hotels and local operators. To keep the records tax and consumer law require of us. And, if you ticked the newsletter box, to send you the monthly letter.

You can withdraw newsletter consent whenever you like; every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and replying with the word 'stop' works too.

Who we pass it to

Only the parties needed to deliver the trip you asked for, and only the details each one needs. An airline needs the name in your passport; a hotel does not need your medical notes unless they affect your stay.

  • Airlines, hotels, and the local operators and guides running your days on the ground.
  • Visa services and consulates, where a visa is part of the trip.
  • Insurers and payment providers, where you buy cover or pay through us.

Sending data abroad

Booking a trip abroad necessarily means sending your details to the country you are visiting, whose data protection law may be weaker than India's. There is no way to book a hotel in Reykjavík without telling the hotel in Reykjavík who is arriving. By asking us to book, you accept that transfer for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that never become bookings are deleted within 24 months. Booking records are kept for eight years after travel, which is what tax and limitation periods require. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days at the latest, usually far sooner.

If we are mid-booking, some data cannot be deleted until the trip is over and the records have served their legal purpose — we will tell you plainly if that applies rather than quietly ignoring the request.

Changes to this policy

This page carries the date it was last revised — currently 26 August 2026. If we ever start collecting something we do not collect today, we will change this page before we start, not after.
