Arrive, and up to the valley
Airport pickup with flowers in the car, then ninety minutes to a villa on the Ayung gorge. Dinner is served in.

Day 2
A morning that starts in the water
Floating breakfast in the plunge pool, a couples' massage at eleven, and Ubud's market and palace in the cooler end of the day.

Terraces, waterfall, and a swing
Tegallalang early, Tegenungan waterfall after, and the jungle swings on the way home — better than they sound, and best before ten.

A day held empty
Cooking class, silversmithing in Celuk, or the hammock and nothing else. The driver is on call either way.

South to the Bukit cliffs
Two hours down to Uluwatu, a villa on the cliff edge, and the Kecak fire dance at the temple as the sun goes into the Indian Ocean.

Beach clubs and hidden coves
The steps down to Padang Padang and Bingin in the morning, then a long afternoon at a cliff-edge beach club with the surf a long way below.

The day is yours; the evening is a table for two set up on Jimbaran beach with grilled fish and the fishing fleet going out.
