Across the mountains to Flåm
The Bergen railway over the Hardangervidda plateau to Myrdal, then the Flåm line down 866 m to sea level and a fjord-side inn.

The electric ferry down the narrowest arm in Europe to Gudvangen, the Stegastein platform 650 m above the water, and a stave church.
